LOS ANGELES (CINEMA MINIMA) — In partnership with the Charles Guggenheim Center for the Documentary Film and the Foundation for the National Archives, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present A Salute to the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) 2008 October 23 Thursday at 7 PM at the William G. McGowan Theater at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. The event will be hosted by animation critic and historian Charles Solomon, following an introduction by Academy President Sid Ganis.
Several NFB shorts will be screened, including NEIGHBOURS (1952), BOB’S BIRTHDAY (1993), and the Academy Award-winning RYAN (2004).
