Events — Calendar for Movie Makers

Send notice about your event to Cinema Minima’s Calendar Editor, Moneypenny <moneypenny@cinemaminima.com>.

Put date, time — and year — at the beginning of your message. Include country; region, province, or state; as well as town: Cinema Minima’s readership is worldwide.

Use your Google account to send your event as an invitation to <moneypenny@cinemaminima.com>.

Requests for movie reviews

Cinema Minima reviews movies which would be of interest to filmmakers; or in connection with interviews with filmmakers. A movie which illustrates some aspect of the filmmaking process — or whose distribution, exploitation, or exhibition is remarkable — would a candidate for a Cinema Minima review.

Consider the market you are trying to reach

First of all, you should consider contacting the Editor of The Alternative Film Guide. Its reviewers are top-notch — sophisticated, experienced, and savvy. Its readers are movie watchers among the general public.

Cinema Minima’s readers are movie makers — professionals — a smaller cohort, but influential. If that is a group you would like to reach, then write to the Reviews Editor <editor+review@cinemaminima.com>.

Put the deadlines for your movie’s promotional campaign — such as the release dates — at the beginning of your message. Include market information for your campaigns — such as the country; region, province, or state; as well as town. Cinema Minima’s readership is worldwide: stories are tagged with region information.

Screeners should be in standard DVD format, either region 1 or region-free. Screeners will not be returned, although they would be cancelled (destroyed) upon request, after a review would have been completed.
